Dakota is an American Rock band. They first received recognition with their 1979 self-titled album, Dakota. The band had the incredible opportunity to travel on tour with Queen from 1980-1981. It was during that time that Dakota became more popular and their rising success encouraged them to release their second and best-selling album in 1984 titled Runaway.
